On Wednesday evening June 15th Mark will be at Scene One at 6:30 PM to audition actors for Heart which he wrote and will be directing for Short Attention Span Theatre in July. Heart is a one person play, a monologue, that features a male aged 20’s to 40’s. For the entire piece the character of Jay is on the phone. I need an actor who can show a wide range of emotion starting with anger and cockiness and ending up with a display of sympathy, humility and graciousness.

Stay tuned as other directors post their casting needs for SAST in July. Performance dates are July 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, and 22, 2022. Interested actors would obviously be needed for those dates as well as July 10 through 13. Prior to July 10th rehearsals are scheduled based on the availability of directors and actors. If you are a new face to Scene One this is a good opportunity to be seen. Show up at Scene One on June 15th with a monologue or a piece of any kind to read (memorized or not). Just having you speak in front of us is a way for us to get to know you. You will also have an opportunity to read from the SAST scripts. In addition to SAST in July we will also be having performances of original works in November of this year.
