Megan graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. She continued pursuing her love of theatre by being an active member of multiple local theatre groups. For over two decades, she was a pillar of the yoga community in Jefferson City. Megan made it her life’s work to heal and spread positivity through teaching the art of yoga. She started her journey as a teacher and later founded “The Yoga Studio”.

She is survived by her daughter: Annika Sappington of Jefferson City; son: Skylar Sappington of Jefferson City; brother: Guy “Chandler” (Kim) Stroup of Osage Beach; mother: Kala Stroup of Osage Beach. She was preceded in death by her father: Joe Stroup. 

A Visitation to Celebrate Megan’s Life will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the Meriwether Room at Tyler M.
